Ireland to exit "Bailout" in December

After a number of very difficult years, Ireland is due to leave the IMF/EU bailout fund on December 15. See the BBC report dated 12 October, 2013 for details. This is very good news for Ireland in that they have managed to satisfy all the bailout conditions placed on them and, at the same time, ensure that the bond market will be receptive to new issues going forward. However, the problems are not yet completely over and there will still be some pain over the coming years. Unemployment is still too high with many young adults now working abroad and the tax burden will only get greater for those still with jobs. Let’s hope that this success will soon lead to the country returning to a more stable situation.
